The Jones Success Scholarship is offered exclusively at Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College.
- Eligibility is based on place of physical residence, not high school from which the student graduated.
- All students will be required to enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a 2.25 GPA per semester. Should the student not meet these requirements, they are able to regain eligibility after the successful completion of the requirements for one unaided semester.
- Students who graduate from high school in December are not eligible for the first-year award until the fall following their graduation.
- Students who enlist in the military immediately after graduation are eligible regardless of length of time in the military. Military service does not count against a student’s eligibility.
- There is no application for the Success Scholarship program.
- This is not a need-based scholarship.
- Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College are responsible for identifying eligible students, as well as administering and marketing the grant.
- When reviewing a student’s application to the Undergraduate Education Grant program, the Success Scholarship will be listed, if applicable, but not included in the calculation of “Total Other Resources.”
